James is a self-taught designer with over 20 years of experience that began in his home town of Miami at the local alternative newspaper.

After some time hand-registering color separations and countless early morning press checks, James moved on to an ad agency refining his design skills working on branding, package design, and all sorts of advertising for mostly high-end residential developments. When the Miami housing market crashed, it was time for a change.

He moved to Austin and made the switch to digital at Razorfish in 2010 doing work for Blackberry, HSN, GE, and Delta. Currently he works with Citi as Design Lead on the CRS Design System and other product design work.

James is motivated by complex design systems, collaborating with developers, and crafting high quality experiences customers love.
